June 2008 - 2nd, 3rd, 4th Grades

The books are put away, the desks are cleaned out, and the final grades are put on the report cards. School's Out! There were a few cheers, and there were a few tears, both from students and the teachers! Learning does not stop when school is over. many times this is the time that learning is put to the test.

May was filled with springtime activites. We went to the Fairmont Track meet with everyone running, jumping, and throwing the softball. Everyong did well, but Carly Kreig was the one who brought home a 2nd place ribbon in the long jump.

The next Friday, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders took a nice hike to Alex Melvin's fram which is 3 miles from school. We were in good shape from our track practice. The farm had llamas, horses, ducks, rabbits, the 2 chickens that we hatched from last year, and the 2 baby chicks we hatched this year in school. We ate lunch and then hiked back to school. We were tired but we had a great time.

Our last Friday was picnic day at the park. We enhoyed the day, ate our lunch and finished the day walking back to school.

The Lord has blessed our class and has blessed our school. We thank Him for this. Have a great summer in the SON.
