Curriculum


The curriculum of the school meets the requirements set forth in the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod's curriculum guide, Integrating the Faith. Generally, the curriculum includes the following:

All lesson's will be taught from a Christian perspective, integrating the faith into every part of the day.

Religion: Students will get excited about exploring scripture through the Voyages books, by Concordia Publishing House. The students will use creative, age appropriate lessons and activities to help make the lessons come alive. Bible verse related to the lessons will be memorized. Students will progressively memorize the parts of Luther's Small Catechism. Chapel will be held weekly.
Books on Chair


Reading: Houghton Mifflin reading develops strong readers with rich selection of authentic literature. Phonics, writing, and reading are all inter-connected. The series meets a wide range of learning needs.

Math: Saxon Math develops all new concepts through hands-on activities. The concepts are developed, then reviewed, and practiced over time. Saxon Math gives the student continual practice on all concepts throughout the entire year.

Science: Discovery Works, the Concordia Edition enables the student to learn more about our worla and its creator. The distinctively Christian perspective. in the curriculum helps students unearth connections between science concepts and God's Word.

English: Students will learn grammar, utilizing Shurley English, along with proper ways to put together sentences and paragraphs.

Social Studies: Harcourt Brace materials enable students to learn about geography, history, and the world.

Art: A variety of art techniques will be incorporated into the weekly lessons.

Physical Education: Students will learn various games, and sports along with how to keep their bodies healthy with a goal of life long fitness.

Music: Students will sing both sacred and secular songs. They will participate in church worship services by singing once per month.
